Sydney is the Youth Director of the Board of Directors of the Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation. In this role, she is driven by a strong commitment to supporting First Nations communities through sustainable infrastructure and environmental stewardship. Sydney brings a youth perspective to the board, helping ensure that decisions reflect the priorities of future generations, and advocating for the needs of youth First Nations.
She is currently a student at Queen's University, pursuing a degree in Environmental Science alongside a Business certificate. With a strong interest in environmental assessment and consultation, Sydney has developed a robust skill set in evaluating environmental risks, applying policy and regulatory frameworks, and analyzing complex relationships between human systems and the natural environment.
Sydney’s professional experience includes multiple internships within the banking sector, where she has worked in operational risk management as well as ESG and Indigenous Peoples Strategy. Through these roles, she has contributed to projects focused on sustainability, risk mitigation, and advancing equitable, inclusive outcomes for Indigenous communities.
