Nathan Hill

Nathan is Mohawk, Wolf clan from the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. He re-joined the OFNTSC in July 2017 following a previous tenure from May 2010 – April 2015. During this time he has been employed as a Summer Student, Infrastructure Specialist Intern and an Infrastructure Specialist. 

As the Fire Safety Coordinator/Infrastructure Specialist, Nathan assists the OFNTSC in providing technical advisory to all First Nation communities in the province. He conducts various types of building inspections on residential dwelling units as well as other small buildings. He also assists communities with reporting requirements as well as working with other departments within the OFNTSC on various infrastructure projects throughout the First Nation communities. 

Nathan obtained a Construction Engineering Technician college diploma from Mohawk College in 2011. Nathan is a Certified Building Code Official from the Ontario Building Officials Association since 2018. Nathan is a SITE basic inspector from the Wood Energy Technology Transfer since 2015. In his spare time he operates a small woodworking business, “Knotty Nate’s Woodworking”, which was started in 2004 as a summer business.
