Event Coordinator
The OFNTSC requires the services of an Event Coordinator to assist with all planning aspects of public and private events for the organization. The Event Coordinator is responsible for initiating, maintaining, and reporting on relationships that are vital to the successful execution of OFNTSC’s public events. An understanding of the procedures and protocols in dealing with First Nations communities and government agencies is essential.
Engineer-In-Training
The Engineer In Training (EIT) is tasked with operating under the direct oversight of the Senior Engineer to aid in the Engineering Department's efforts to provide technical advisory services for Ontario First Nations. This involves employing supportive approaches to help Ontario’s First Nations effectively implement engineering planning, design, and project management principles and processes in a cost-efficient manner throughout the entire lifespan of community infrastructure.
Instrumentation Mechanic
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Instrumentation Mechanic to join our team at OFNTSC. Under the guidance of the HUB Manager, the Instrumentation Mechanic will play a crucial role in repairing and installing instrumentation equipment, locating source problems by conducting inspections, and keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports, documentation, and work orders. This position requires someone who is highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills while working effectively in diverse working environments.
Student Administrative Support
As a Summer Student Administrative Support at OFNTSC, your role is crucial in assisting professionals across different departments such as Engineering, Communications, Human Resources, Finance, and the Environment Team. Working with the Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation presents an opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute actively to projects aimed at improving First Nations Communities across Ontario. This summer position provides a distinctive chance to work alongside experts in these areas and create a significant impact within the organization.
Electrical Apprentice
Under the guidance of the HUB Manager, the Electrical Apprentice will play a crucial role in assisting a journeyman electrician, installing conduit and wire, updating work logs and client accounts, and performing other administrative duties. This position requires strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn.
Fire and Safety Coordinator
As a Fire and Safety Coordinator at OFNTSC, you will play a crucial role in advancing our fire prevention program's mandate. This position primarily involves providing advisory services to support staff at Tribal Councils, Large First Nations, and Unaffiliated First Nations levels. The OFNTSC Fire Prevention program focuses on offering expert guidance in fire and life safety matters, including fire protection, fire prevention, health and safety, fire inspections, personal protective equipment, and governmental liaison services.
