The OFNTSC in partnership with the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) annually supports four Student Achievement Awards. Two Awards are provided by CMHC and two by the OFNTSC. Through partnerships with the public/private sector corporations, OFNTSC aims to strengthen the relationships that provide needed financial support for First Nation students pursuing post-secondary education. The Annual Awards are comprised of a bursary for $1000.00 plus recognition by the OFNTSC at a provincial level for excellence.
The OFNTSC acknowledges the importance of having First Nations people achieving successful careers in Science and Technology and applying their expertise to working with our communities. Thus each year the OFNTSC takes the opportunity to honour the accomplishments of First Nations students who have persevered in attaining a high level of education in the field of Science and Technology.
We invite you to nominate a student from your community who is currently enrolled in the field of Science and Technology by mailing or faxing the application to the address provided below. From the nominations received, two students’ from northern Ontario and southern Ontario meeting the outlined criteria will be selected. Only those persons who are selected will be contacted.
