PROGRAM OVERVIEW
OFNTSC works intimately with First Nation communities to protect the investment of infrastructure and custodial assets. Through effective partnerships, OFNTSC and its First Nation clients work closely to strengthen and modernize existing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) programs. OFNTSC provides support with its clients with record tracking and evaluation of all current capital assets, asset conditions and provides advisory support in identifying methods for adequate funding of community assets.
OFNTSC provides continuous support to First Nations in their interests to develop and improved O&M programs including support on the following systems;
· Integrated Capital Management System (CAMS),
· Asset Condition Reporting System (ACRS)
· ACRS Terms of Reference
· Capital Asset Inventory System (CAIS)
· Capital Management Database (CMDB)
· Asset Management Systems (AMS)
· Conditional Assessment & Housing Database (CAHD)
· O&M Forecasting Model for Water & Wastewater
· Tangible Capital Assets (TCA)
· Government O&M Policies & Reporting Requirements
OFNTSC participates on various Federal & Provincial government committees to ensure our clients interests are considered in their continuous development and improvements to First Nations O&M programs and policies.
OFNTSC also participates on INAC’s National ICMS working group in the effort to offer support on the new system process for data requirements, data collection and future reporting requirements. This approach ensures First Nations interest is considered and relevant information is communicated during INAC’s quest to improve First Nations O&M programs.
OFNTSC remains committed to assisting First Nations acquisition of the required tools that will effectively manage existing infrastructure assets and to maximize resources, reduce risk and to provide their satisfactory levels of services to community members.
