Provincial Government's proposed Brownfields Reform – Summary of Public Comments

The attached document provided is a summary of public comments which the Ministry of the Environment, gathered from stakeholders during the public consultation process. Proposed reforms will mainly effect municipalities interested in redeveloping Brownfields properties and consultants who undertake the Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Risk Assessments and Record of Site Conditions (ROCs). This is a provincially driven process and should not be confused with the Federal Environmental Site Assessment process (Phase I, II, III), or standards/criteria which typically apply to contaminated sites on First Nation Lands. For more information on the public comments please download the prelimanary overview of EBR comments document. For more information on the Brownfields program CLICK HERE.
