Mishkosiminiziibiing (Big Grassy River) First Nation has relied on and had a great working relationship with the OFNTSC’s Emergency Management Preparedness (EMP) program for the past 10 years. Over the years, OFNTSC has provided our community with excellent training and one to one work that has assisted our community to develop and keep our Master Emergency Response Plan (MERP) up to date. They worked with our First Nation to conduct exercises to enhance our community’s MERP and EMP awareness. The OFNTSC has helped us to identify gaps in our Emergency Management system sub-plans providing resources and information to fill these gaps.

I look forward to continuing to work the EMP team staff, and attending further training that will help to keep Big Grassy First Nation informed and better prepared to deal with the possible emergencies that could happen within our community.
