Ontario Electronic Stewardship 2011 Mobile Recycling Tour

The Ontario Electronic Stewardship (OES), the not-for-profit organization responsible for Ontario’s end-of-life electronics program will be driving into towns and communities across northern Ontario on a 13 week tour, from Sault Ste. Marie to Sioux Lookout.  “Recycle Your Electronics” is a province wide program that provides options to dispose of unwanted electronics and electrical equipment.

Landfill Operations and Maintenance Training plus Solid Waste Diversion Information Session

The OFNTSC's Environment Service will be offering the Landfill Operations and Maintenance Training plus Solid Waste Diversion Information session from April 25 to April 27, 2017 at the Victoria Inn, Thunder Bay, ON.  The Landfill Operations and Maintenance Training will be two days (25-26), while the Solid Waste Diversion Information Session will be one day (27th).

The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) has created a Illustrated Guide to Small Fuel Tank Systems. The guide was developed by the OFNTSC's Environmental Service in conjunction with OFNTSC's CRTP: Fuel Systems Management, Housing and Infrastructure services.

Landfill O&M/ Transforming Your Solid Waste workshops

rom April 8-10, 2014 the Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) will be delivering a two-part workshop focusing on First Nations Landfill Operation & Maintenance and Transforming Your Community’s Solid Waste Management Program.   

The workshops will be taking place on Rama First Nation at the Days Inn located directly across from Casino Rama.  Accommodations will also be available for participants at the Days Inn.  Accommodations will be covered for participants for three nights; April 7, 8, and 9.

Lands Environmental Action Fund (LEAF)

Call packages for LEAF funding are now available for the 2010/2011 Fiscal Year. While all projects which fit the eligibility criteria will be considered, INAC Ontario region will be targeting projects which promote best practices in fuel storage tank management and projects that promote awareness and compliance with the Canadian Environmental Protection Act's new Storage Tank Systems for Petroleum Products and Allied Petroleum Products Regulations.
