OFNTSC Presents to Standing Senate Committee on Aboriginal Peoples Bill S-11

The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) recently presented to the Standing Senate Committee on Aboriginal Peoples regarding Bill S-11. The OFNTSC was asked to provide a technical perspective on Bill S-11 and highlight some of the challenges that First Nations are faced with while delivering safe drinking water.

OFNTSC Conference presentations now available!

The  15th Annual OFNTSC Conference presentations are now available for download. Many First Nations and Tribal Councils from across Ontario joined the OFNTSC for this three day event in Niagara Falls.

15th Annual Student Classic

The OFNTSC recognizes the time, dedication and sacrifice students have to make in order to achieve their goal of graduation from College or University in the fields of Science and Technology. The Student Classic began modestly as an idea to encourage First Nations students to become interested in careers in Science and Technology.

15th Annual Student Achievement Awards

The OFNTSC acknowledges the importance of having First Nations people achieving successful careers in Science and Technology and applying their expertise to working with our communities. Thus each year the OFNTSC takes the opportunity to honour the accomplishments of First Nations students who have persevered in attaining a high level of education in the field of Science and Technology. 
 

15th Annual OFNTSC Conference and Tradeshow

The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) is pleased to announce that the OFNTSC will be holding its 15th Annual OFNTSC Technical Conference and Tradeshow from August 24 to 26, 2010 at the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel & Conference Centre in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

2018 Annual Report now available!

The Ontario First Nations Techncial Services Corporation (OFNTSC) is proud to present our 2018 Anual Report. This year's report includes updates from the President of the Board, Wes Bova, Management and Service reports.  Additionally the report includes strategic reports on the update of the national operations and maintenance policy, the OFNTSC's five year strategic plan, tri-lateral steering group, OFNTSC mandate review and the OFNTSC's task force report on drinking water regulation.

Water Symposium Presentations now available!

Presentations from our 2018 First Nations Water Symposium are now avialable for download. We would like to thank all of our delegates for participating in the Symposium. The Symposium couldn't have taken place without you.

Press Release: OFNTSC works to mitigate climate change on critical First Nations infrastructure

The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) working together with Engineers Canada and Stantec have collaboratively developed a First Nations Public Infrastructure Engineering Vulnerability Committee (PIEVC) Toolkit. The First Nations PIEVC Toolkit aims to assist First Nations in identifying and developing mitigation measures for risks to infrastructure in First Nations.  Three First Nations in Ontario have tested the kit to ensure its viability for future use.

Press Release: First Nations Water Symposium to address progress on Federal Government’s promise to eliminate of boil water advisories in Ontario First Nation

Niagara Falls, ON - On May 15, 2018 the Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) will be holding the 2018 First Nations Water Symposium in Niagara Falls, ON at the Sheraton on the Falls beginning at 8:30am. The First Nations Water Symposium aims to bring together Chiefs, administrators and water/wastewater plant operators with federal and provincial governments to address water quality issues.
