OFNTSC Annual Conference deferred for 2012

The OFNTSC has deferred its Annual Conference for the calendar year 2012. The Annual Conference will resume its activities in 2013. The OFNTSC would like to thank its clients, stakeholders and partners for making the Annual Conference a success while improving technical capacity for First Nations in Ontario.

Water Company targeting Ontario First Nations

The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) would like to inform First Nations in Ontario that "water quality experts" from a water company have been targeting Ontario First Nations.  Most recently this company has approached community members in Akwesasne to have water purification systems installed in homes. This company’s selling tactics would have you believe that there is something wrong with your communities’ tap water.

First Nations Water Symposium 2012

The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) is pleased to announce that the First Nations Water Symposium will be taking place March 20-21, 2012 in Niagara Falls, ON. 

16th Annual Student Classic Time Change

There has been a change in the tee off time for the 16th Annual OFNTSC Student Classic. The shotgun start will now commence at 10:00am on Thursday, September 15, 2011. If you require further information on this event and its time change please contact Steve Styres at sstyres@ofntsc.org

Southern Tribal Council and Large/Unaffiliated First Nation Meeting

The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) is pleased to announce that a Southern Tribal Council and Large/Unaffiliated First Nations meeting is planned for October 26-27, 2011 at Casino Rama Hotel.

Two individuals from each southern Tribal Council, Large and Unaffiliated First Nations, will be covered for accommodation and incidentals. A light breakfast and lunch will be served to delegates. As well the OFNTSC will cover travel for one participant from Tribal Councils, Large and Unaffiliated First Nations.

Canada-Ontario First Nations Pilot to Improve Drinking Water Quality

OTTAWA, ONTARIO (July 6, 2011) - The Governments of Canada and Ontario are pleased to announce the Canada-Ontario First Nations Pilot to Improve Drinking Water Quality, a new joint three-year initiative harnessing innovative and alternative drinking water systems to improve water quality in Ontario First Nation communities. The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) is also supporting this initiative through the provision of technical support to First Nations and Tribal Councils.
