The OFNTSC will be providing training for Part 9 – Health and Safety in March- April, 2010. The training will be taking place at the Days Inn, Orilla (across from Casino Rama). This is a five day (37 hour) basic Part 9 course on the plan examination and inspection of health & safety related aspects of the house. It includes the following topics: An Introduction to the OBC; The House - General; Fire Safety & Protection; Chimneys; Fireplaces; Inserts & Solid-fuel-burning Appliances; Stairs; Guards; Insulation; Health & Comfort Requirements; Party Walls; Final Interior Inspection; Final Exterior Inspection.
