2014 First Nations Water Symposium

The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) is pleased to present the 2014 First Nations Water Symposium taking place March 4 -5, 2014 at the Marriott Gateway on the Falls, Niagara Falls, Ontario.
This year's Water Symposium theme is: Water Infrastructure: "Getting to a New Sustainable Standard".

Goals & Objectives

  • To bring key First Nations representatives together with, provincial, federal and industry professionals to network and exchange current issues facing First Nations drinking water & wastewater management and evolving issues related to drinking water quality
  • Provide networking and ongoing training opportunities in the area of drinking water and wastewater management to First Nations representatives
  • Showcase developments in technology for water and wastewater management applicable to First Nations communities through workshops and a tradeshow where the best industry practices will be demonstrated

Sponsored Delegate Criteria

The OFNTSC will be collecting all travel claims for sponsored delegates during the 2014 First Nations Water Symposium. Please see additional details below regarding sponsorship criteria, as well as a link which will direct you to our 2014 FNWS travel claim form.
The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) is pleased to sponsor (1) Leadership/Administrative representative, and (1) Water Plant Operator from each First Nation in Ontario. The sponsored delegate is appointed by their First Nation. Additional delegates can attend for $250.
Once the sponsored delegate has been chosen by their First Nation they shall receive a discount code which will bypass the payment section of the registration process. To receive the discount code, please contact Corrie Hill, Event Coordinator at or (416) 651-1443 ext. 229.
Sponsored delegates will receive the following:

Accommodations [Room & Tax billed to the Master - March 3 - 5, 2014. Check-out will be March 5, 2014.] Travel reimbursement can be claimed by submitting a travel claim form with ORIGINAL RECEIPTS attached [Note: All travel claims will be assessed on a case by case basis, the OFNTSC asks that all sponsored delegates use the most cost effective means of travel.]

  • Full access to the Symposium Tradeshow - Open Two Days

  • Welcome Reception on Monday Evening - March 3, 2014

  • Breakfast Buffet in the Marriott Cafe [Milestones Restaurant] on both Day One & Two
